All individuals released by a judge to court-ordered supervision or own recognizance are released with a notice of a promise to appear and method of court date notification. Conditions of release are reviewed, including protection orders, stay away orders, restrictions on travel, drug-testing, assessing for appropriate community treatment, and any reporting conditions listed by the judge.
The agency provides case management services to any person granted a non-financial release, including personal recognizance, unsecured personal bond, and conditional court-ordered supervised release.
The agency’s case management team uses evidence-based practices to conduct assessments to determine the level of a defendant’s risk, level of engagement, and identify areas of need. Defendants are then designated to appropriate supervision and intervention accordingly. Referrals are made for those eligible for specialty dockets and individual case plans are developed to address both immediate and long term needs of the defendant using community resources and service providers. Communication is maintained with the defendant, court parties, and community providers throughout the pendency of their case until case disposition. This process works to reduce incarceration and recidivism at the pretrial stage of the court system and expedites treatment and service intervention prior to final disposition.
If you are released under court-ordered supervision, you must immediately report to Pretrial Services at 1000 Sycamore St, Rm 111, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 (513) 946-6161 for further instructions.
