Pretrial Services – Court Intepreter Services

Our agency will make every effort to secure and provide qualified language interpreter services for those defendants who have limited English proficiency, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have language impairments who are scheduled to appear in Municipal and Common Pleas Courts. These interpreter services are provided to ensure equal access for both verbal and written communication for all qualified proceedings in accordance with court function and in connection with ancillary services in adherence to Ohio Revised Code 2311.14, the Rules of Superintendence for the Courts of Ohio Rules 80-89, and the Hamilton County Language Access Plan.

Requests for interpreter services should be made as soon as a need is identified in order to allow adequate time to secure and schedule interpreter services and updates should be provided accordingly for cases that are continued.
